Adobe Illustrator and I do not get along to well, I am afraid. It was very hard to fill in the colors, and I do not like the pen tool. Maybe it just takes some more practice to get the basic skills of learning it. I believe it would have been a little easier with the plug in pen tool, which if I had known about it, I would have used it. This south park character does not look the best, but i tried my hardest and redid it like four times.

ReplyDeleteAs you learn how AI is different from PS you will find it easier to use. It appears you were using the paint brush to fill in shapes, the PS approach. In AI you create shapes and apply fill colors to your shapes.
Take a closer shot of your character to upload as your avatar picture. It will be more visible that way instead of so teeny tiny.
